Injuries minor following Sherman Twp. crash.

SHERMAN TOWNSHIP — Two people received minor injuries following a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Custer and Sugar Grove roads Friday afternoon. The crash occurred about 2:50 p.m. and involved a Dodge Ram pickup and a Ford Taurus. The Taurus, driven by a 50-year-old Manistee man, was southbound on Custer Road and the Ram, driven by a 36-year-old man, was east on Sugar Grove. The two vehicles collided at the intersection; Sugar Grove is restricted by stop signs.
The driver of the Taurus and his 43-year-old female passenger were evaluated by EMS personnel on the scene and both received minor injuries, according to personnel on scene. At least one of them was transported by ambulance to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.
No further information was available by Michigan State Police, which was the lead investigative agency on the scene.
Responding were MSP, Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Fountain Area Fire Department and Custer Fire Department.
