LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in 79th District Court:

-Austin Martin Billings, 25, no address listed, pleaded guilty Mar. 1 to using a non-narcotic controlled substance and was sentenced to 69 days in jail with credit for 68 days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; will be transported to Great Lakes Recovery in Sault St. Marie upon release from jail; driver’s license suspended for 365 days and restricted for 305 days; and $905 in fines/costs.  Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS).  Charges of soliciting controlled substance delivery/manufacture, possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana were dismissed.

-Stacey Lynn Black, 52, of 5616 N. Budzynski Rd., Sheridan Township, pleaded guilty Mar. 21 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/ alcohol; must continue current outpatient counseling; and $1,200 in fines/costs.   Defendant may perform 40 hours of community service for a $400 credit toward fines/costs.  Conviction is reportable to SOS.  A second count of OWI was dismissed.

-Melanie Mae Keyes, 24, of 2013 N. US 31, Victory Township, pleaded guilty Mar. 21 to third-degree retail fraud (shoplifting) and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and $535 in fines/costs.  

-Ann Marie Johnson, 39, of 3677 S. Pere Marquette Highway, Summit Township, pleaded guilty Mar. 21 to operating a vehicle while impaired by a controlled substance and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/ alcohol, subject to random drug tests;  and $960 in fines/costs.  Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Angela Faye Rodriguez, 39, of 2267 Custer Rd., Sherman Township, pleaded guilty Mar. 21 to third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $333.03 in restitution; and $665 in fines/costs.

-Jenna Kay Davis, 21, of 2954 E. Meisenheimer Rd., Riverton Township, pleaded guilty Mar. 21 to impaired driving and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $870 in fines/costs.  Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Cynthia Lynn Mendoza, 26, of 110 S. Taylor Rd., Branch Township, pleaded guilty Mar. 21 to larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; $43 in restitution; and $535 in fines/costs.  

-Paul Madison Phillips, 31, of 3359 Neil Rd., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty Mar. 27 to allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code and was sentenced to pay $335 in fines/costs.

-Jesus Reyes, Jr., 22, of 813 E. Filer St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Mar. 23 to improper plates and was sentenced to pay $175 in fines/costs.  

-Izeek Joe Ratliff, 19, of 312 S. Main St., Scottville, pleaded guilty Mar. 27 to allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year; 12 months of probation; and $335 in fines/costs.

-Heather Marie Ramirez, 37, of 208 E. Melendy St., Ludington, pleaded guilty Mar. 27 to failure to display a valid driver’s license and was sentenced to pay $275 in fines/costs.  Conviction is reportable to SOS.

Dismissals

-Erwin James Plouhar, 85, of 302 S. Washington Ave., Apt. 3, had a charge of breaking and entering dismissed on Mar. 16.  According to court documents, “Complaining witness does not wish to prosecute the matter.”

-Derek Michael Routley, 27, of 936 E. Maple St., Ludington, had a charge of operating without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on Mar. 21.  According to court records, “Defendant pleaded guilty to lesser charges.”   A charge of third-degree retail fraud was also dismissed after the defendant, “pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace.”

-Fred Ratliff, 47, of 1619 W. First St., Scottville, had a charge of operating without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on Mar. 21.  According to court records, “Defendant pleaded guilty to lesser charges.”   

-Neta Margett Sohn, 31, of 308 Fifth St., Ludington, had a charge of operating without security (no vehicle insurance) dismissed on Mar. 21.  According to court records, “Defendant pleaded guilty to lesser charges.”
