79th District Court sentencings.

The following were recently sentenced in 79th District Court:
- Erica Hope Carey, 36, of 3883 E. Main St., Fountain, pleaded no contest on Mar. 1 to trespassing and was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for five days served; 30 days discretionary jail for one year; must have substance abuse evaluation; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; must participate in the All Access Care Program – failure to do so will result in violation of order and defendant will remand back to jail; and $285 in fines/costs.
- Nancy Lea Tormen, 56, of 3709 Coach Light Commons, Lansing, pleaded guilty on Feb. 28 to larceny less than $200 and attempted assault/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days served; one year discretionary jail for one year; must have substance abuse evaluation; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $1,025 in fines/costs. A charge of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police was dismissed.
- Diallo Shakim Levon Farmer, 25, of 4924 Alenja Lane, Raleigh, NC, pleaded guilty on Mar. 3 to third-degree retail fraud (shoplifting) and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year and 12 months of probation. Defendant will be credited for time serviced upon release to authorities in North Carolina on extradition matter. A charge of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police was dismissed.
- Joshua Aaron Kozicki, 31, of 4131 S. Morton Rd., Riverton Township, pleaded guilty on Feb. 28 to impaired driving and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; must complete Alcohol Highway Safety Education; and $870 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). A charge of possession of marijuana was dismissed.
- Leigha Nicole Wambach, 23, of 608 E. Dowland St., Ludington, pleaded guilty on Feb. 28 to operating a vehicle with a high blood alcohol content and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 180 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must continue current outpatient counseling; and $1,200 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS. A charge of operating while intoxicated (OWI) was dismissed.
- Tariq Umar Robinson, 40, of 915 E. Maple St., Ludington, pleaded guilty on Feb. 28 to operating while impaired by liquor (OWIL) and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/ alcohol; subject to random PBTs; must obtain substance abuse counseling; and $1,000 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.
- Nathanial Patrick Mohr, 23, of 3868 E. Decker Rd., Sherman Township, pleaded guilty on Mar. 1 to purchasing a pistol without a license and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; firearm is forfeited; and $540 in fines/costs. A charge of illegally carrying a concealed weapon was dismissed.
- Travis Eugene Monshower, 46, of 410 Seventh St., Baldwin, pleaded guilty on Feb. 27 to allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; 12 months of probation; and $335 in fiends/costs.
- Fernando Rodriguez Luna, 50, of 304 E. Tinkham Ave., Ludington, pleaded guilty on Mar. 2 to driving while license expired and was sentenced to pay $225 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.
- Michael Bruce Porter, 61, of 9142 72nd Ave., Pentwater, pleaded guilty on Mar. 2 to fishing without a license and over limit possession of pike. He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year; 12 months of probation; and $250 in fines/costs.
