FREE SOIL TWP. — A 62-year-old Free Soil Township woman was injured after the vehicle she was driving slide off the road, rolled over, and struck a tree Friday morning. The crash occurred at the intersection of Hoague, Rybicki, and Stephens roads. The Chevrolet Cruz was eastbound on Hoague Road and struck slush in the road, causing the driver to lose control, according to Mason County Sheriff Sgt. Adam Lamb on the scene. Lamb said the driver was driving too fast for conditions but was not being ticketed. The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was transported to West Shore Medical Center in Manistee County by Life EMS ambulance.

Responding to the scene were Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Free Soil/Meade Fire Department, Grant Township Fire Department, and Life EMS.
