Obituary: Curt Lambrix, 39, Brighton, formerly of Hart.
Curt William Lambrix, 39, of Brighton passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Mercy Health Partners Mercy Campus in Muskegon. He was born October 23, 1977, in Shelby to Arnold and Ellen (Peeraer) Lambrix. Curt graduated from Hart High School in the Class of 1996 and attended Central Michigan University where he earned and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in education. He married Debra Wick on August 3, 2007 in Livonia.
He taught at the Parkwood Middle School in Waxhw, N.C. and was the educational coordinator at the Sylvan Learning Center in Brighton. He was a man of many talents and interests; enjoying deer hunting, golfing, water sports, traveling, watching or attending a University of Michigan sports event, or giving of his time as a golf or basketball coach; always the teacher. Curt was also a Jimmy Buffet fan, and enjoyed many varieties of music.
Curt is survived by his wife, Debra Lambrix of Brighton; two children, Grady Lambrix and Mayson Lambrix both at home; parents, Arnold and Ellen Lambrix of Hart; sister, Tamara (Kirk) Sternberg of Allegan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Kathleen Wick of Brighton; brother-in-law, David (Charissa) Wick of Anthem, Arizona; grandmother, Shirley Wick of Traverse City; three nephews, Jackson, Benjamin, Brayden; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vern and Jean Lambrix, Francis and Freda Peeraer, John Wick, and Henry and Jean Park.
The Memorial Service for Mr. Lambrix will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Hart Wesleyan Church, 3757 West Polk Road, Hart, MI 49420 with Pastor Thomas Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be Friday from noon to 3 p.m. and 5 – 8 p.m. at King Funeral Home, 2370 N. 72nd Ave., Hart. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Crystal Valley Care Fund, P.O.
