Law enforcement responds to several weekend rollover crashes.
The following was the activity of local law enforcement over the past weekend:
Friday, Jan. 13, 2017:
– 2:26 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), damaged mailbox post, Abrahamson Road, Hamlin Township.
– 5:14 p.m., (MCSO), a 35-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) following a “suspicious vehicle” call, 200 block of South Jackson Road, Pere Marquette Township.
– 5:15 p.m., (MCSO), gas drive-off, $41.01 in fuel stolen, Ludington EZ Mart, 5900 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
– 6:16 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, minor injuries, Stiles Road north of Fountain Road, Victory Township. A 61 year-old Ludington woman sustained minor injuries after the vehicle she was riding in lost control on an ice-covered road; crossed the centerline; and went into the ditch.
Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017:
– 2:14 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, US 10-31 and Gordon Road, Amber Township.
– 7:53 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy Drive and Fisher Road, Hamlin Township.
– 9:50 a.m., (MCSO), rollover crash, minor injuries, Reek Road north of Sugar Grove Road, Sherman Township. A 29-year-old Fountain man sustained minor injuries after the vehicle he was riding in lost control on the ice-covered road; left the roadway; and overturned.
– 10:06 a.m., (MCSO), rollover crash, minor injuries, Custer Road south of Hansen Road, Custer Township. A 74-year-old Scottville woman sustained minor injuries after the vehicle she was driving lost control on the ice-covered road; left the roadway; and overturned.
– 10:59 a.m., (MCSO), vehicle/tree crash, with injuries, Custer Road north of US 10, Village of Custer. A 24-year-old Scottville woman was injured after the vehicle she was driving lost control on the ice-covered road; crossed the centerline; left the roadway; and struck a tree. She was transported to Spectrum Health in Ludington by Life EMS for non-life-threatening injuries.
– 2:40 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injuries, Hawley and Appleton roads, Riverton Township.
Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017:
– 1:05 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), noise complaint, 400 block of East Danaher Street, City of Ludington.
– 2:03 a.m., (LPD), disorderly person, 900 block of East Maple Street, City of Ludington.
– 5:32 a.m., (MCSO), recovered stolen auto, Scottville Wesco, 100 block of North Main St., City of Scottville. A 2012 Jeep Liberty had been reported stolen out of Newaygo County was recovered in Scottville. The case was turned over to the Michigan State Police in Newaygo.
– 10:15 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, US 10 and Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
– 11:16 a.m., (MCSO), A 22-year-old Ludington man was arrested following a traffic stop for parole absconder, no license/never applied, US 10 and Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
– 2 p.m., (MCSO) two-vehicle hit-and-run crash, no injuries, Glen Lane east of Benson Road, Sheridan Township. A victim was reportedly backing out of a driveway when she was struck by a dark colored pickup truck that fled the scene.
– 2:15 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injuries, M-116 south of the Ludington State Park, Hamlin Township.
– 6 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles and Anthony roads, Riverton Township.
– 6:23 p.m., (LPD), car/deer crash, North Lakeshore Drive, City of Ludington.
