Obituary: Walter Bourgette, Jr., 77, Ludington.

Walter Thomas Bourgette, Jr., 77, of Ludington, passed away on Wednesday December 14, 2016 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids.

He was born on June 3, 1939 in Filer City, son of the late Walter and Clara (Laboda) Bourgette, Sr.  He attended Manistee High School.  Walter married Lillian Dickow on September 30, 1961 in Manistee.  He worked for many years at Floracraft in Ludington as a truck driver.

Walter enjoyed spending everyday being a devoted loving husband, father and grandfather.  Walter also liked tinkering with his 1950 Chevy and Whizzer Bike, working in the yard and tending to his raspberry bushes, traveling the country with his wife, Lillian and spending time with his grand-dogs.

Walter is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lillian Bourgette, of Ludington; son, David (Dawn) Bourgette of Ludington; daughter, Carol (Donald) Johnston of Ludington; grandson, Eric Raap and fiancé, Erika Dawkins; granddaughter, Melanie Johnston; and sister, Barbara Kramsvogel of Manistee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son-in-law, Roger Raap.
