Suspect arrested after giving deputy fake name.

CUSTER — A 20-year-old Ludington man was arrested by a deputy from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Sunday, Oct. 23, at 12:49 a.m. after giving the deputy a fake name during a traffic stop at First and Jefferson streets, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

“Upon learning of the suspect’s true identity, it was revealed he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out for his arrest out of Mason County,” Cole said. The man now also faces a charge of furnishing a false identity to a police officer.
