Carolyn Janet Brennan, 81, of Riverton Township passed away on May 19, 2016 at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.
She was born on June 15, 1934 in Ludington, the daughter of the late John and Esther (Nelson) Kiefer. She was a 1952 graduate of Ludington High School. She married Donald James Brennan on April 18, 1953 at Saint Simon Catholic Church in Ludington. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2013.
She was a retired US Postal Service Rural Route Mail Carrier working out of the Ludington Post Office. She also was a baker of graduation and wedding cakes.
Carolyn was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church in Ludington. Her hobbies included going to auctions, reading, gardening, and feeding deer, birds, and turkeys in her back yard.
Survivors include four children: Kay (Dennis Caplis) Brennan of Fremont, Mary J. McVicker, John Brennan, and Robert (BJ Fornino) Brennan, all of Ludington; one sister Maralee (Ed) McCumber of Ludington; six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Lee Sivertson.
Private services will be held at later date with interment in Pere Marquette Cemetery.
