Susan Grondsma

Susan Faith Grondsma, 55, peacefully passed away on Sunday February 21, 2016 at home.

Susan was born to her father, the late, John Grondsma and her mother Julia (Burroughs) at Oceana Hospital of Hart.

Susan attended Pentwater schools and married Richard Swiger on July 8, 1983.  Her hobbies included arts & crafts, Westerns and genealogy.  She was very artistic and loved being a stay at home mother raising her son.  Susan lost a long battle to lung and brain cancer, and is finally in a better place.

Susan is survived by her loving partner of 30 three years, Richard Swiger; her mother Julia; son Joshua (Laramie) Swiger; siblings John (Barb) Grondsma, Robert Grondsma, Jenny (Dan) Dantuma, JoAnna (Frank) Lloyd, Julie (Brent) Holmes; father and mother-in- law Dick and Lana Swiger; sisters-in-law Sally (Bill) Rhodes, Dolly (Dennis) Packerd and Toni Swiger and many nieces and nephews.  We would also like to mention her very close friends Karen Peterson and Tom Wicks.

She is preceded in death by fathers Joe Lauber and John Grondsma; sister-in-law Jeannene Mowrey.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private graveside service held at the North Weare Township Cemetery of Pentwater in the spring.

Memorial contributions in memory of Susan may be directed to family to help with the cost of funeral arrangements.
