Nathan Reed Stewart, age 37 of Ludington, died Wednesday September 23, 2015 in Carr Settlement.
He was born on October 14, 1977 in Ludington son of Dan and Diane (Wicklund) Stewart. He graduated from Ludington High School in 1996. Nathan attended Ferris State University and obtained a BA Degree in Plastic Engineering in 2003. Nathan was a former Oil & Gas Lease Man for Western Land Services.
Nathan loved to fish, hunt and fabricate things with whatever was on hand. He always had a huge smile and kind heart toward others. He will always be remembered as the one to put others before him self. Nathan had many struggles in life due to his injuries, but he always tried to keep going with a smile on his face.
Nathan was adored by his family and friends and will be forever missed. He is survived by his parents, Dan and Diane Stewart of Carr Settlement; brothers, Gregory (Katie) Stewart of Scottville and Adam (Jenn) Stewart of Wayland; Nathan was a beloved and adored uncle to nephews, Michael and Derrick Stewart of Scottville, Emmet and Reece Stewart of Wayland and niece, Macy Stewart of Wayland; Nathan will also be missed by his grandmother, Arville Stewart of Scottville, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Nathan was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Francis and Katy Wicklund of Ludington, and paternal grandfather Lloyd C. Stewart of Scottville.
A memorial service for Nathan will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday October 3, 2015 at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington with Pastor Hilyard officiating. The family will receive guests for visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service.
The family would like to invite family and friends to join in fellowship at the luncheon directly following the service in the Oak Grove Family Room.
Memorial contributions in Nathan’s name may be to the family through Oak Grove Funeral Home to support Nathan’s niece, Macy Stewart’s bone marrow transplant fund.
