79th District Court arraignments

LUDINGTON — The following were arraigned recently in front of the 79th District Court Magistrate:

Felonies

Chamness

– Joseph Otto Chamness, 39, of 106 E. Pere Marquette St., Ludington,  was arrested Sept. 20 by LPD for a felony of assault by strangulation and second-offense habitual offender. Probable cause hearing: Sept. 30 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $15,000/cash/surety.

Deon

– Wesley Eric Deon, 35, of 2825 Hoyt St., Muskegon Heights, was arrested Sept. 20 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) for a felony of absconding/forfeiting bond. Probable cause hearing: Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

Flores

– Isreal Flores, Jr., 39, of 102 E. Whittier St., Ludington, was arrested Sept. 14 by LPD for a felony of assault by strangulation and second-offense domestic violence. Preliminary hearing: Sept. 30 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

– Robert Allen King, 24, of 4570 N. 176th Ave., Walkerville, was arrested Sept. 13 by LPD for misdemeanors of operating while intoxicated; driving while license suspended (DWLS); open intoxicants; and possession of marijuana. Pretrial: Oct. 19 at 10:30 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

– Andrew Brook Shaffer, 22, of 610 N. Rowe St., Ludington, was arrested Sept. 15 by LPD for misdemeanors of second-offense domestic violence and malicious destruction of property (MDOP) less than $200. Pretrial: Oct. 5 at 1:30 p.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

– James Christopher LeClair, 32, of 929 N. Gaylord Ave., Ludington, was arrested Sept. 16 by LPD for a misdemeanor of assault and battery. Pretrial: Oct. 122 at 2 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Tamera Marie McKinnon, 19, of 101 N. Main St., Apt. 3, Scottville, was cited Sept. 17 by the Hart post of the Michigan State Police (MSP) for a misdemeanor of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance). Pretrial: Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Brian Kelly Smith, 26, of 8776 104th Ave., Pentwater, was cited Sept. 17 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) for a misdemeanor of DWLS. Pretrial: Oct. 12 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Kyle James Lytle, 24, of 5784 W. Johnson Rd., Amber Township, was cited Sept. 17 by MSP for a misdemeanor of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance). Pretrial: Oct. 12 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

– Debra Cathleen Willis, 61, of 14337 Webster Rd., Bath, was arrested Sept. 17 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of third-degree retail fraud. Pretrial: Oct. 12 at 11:30 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

– Renee Pauline Masunas, 39, of 304 Fifth St., Ludington, was arrested Sept. 17 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of third-degree retail fraud. Pretrial: Oct. 12 at 11:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

– Lane Hardin Simpson, 36, of 15652 Cirle 301, Abilene, Texas, was arrested Sept. 18 by MCSO for misdemeanors of failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance) and expired license. Pretrial: Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.
