Elinor Louise Braska, aged 85 of Baldwin passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at her home. Elinor was born on December 11, 1929 in Elm Hall, Michigan, the daughter of Cliffe H. and Frances (Althouse) Sabin.
Elinor will be greatly missed by her children Carol (Oscar) Case of Lansing, Dianna (David) Fye of Baldwin, and Randy (Toni) Lewis of Henderson, Kentucky, 9 stepchildren, 48 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren, 3 great, great-grandchildren, her sister LaVonna Carey of Lansing, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cliffe and Frances, her stepmother Emma Sabin, her husband Stanley Braska, her brothers Loren and James Sabin, a son-in-law, and a brother-in-law.
Funeral services will be held for Elinor at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 28 at the Stephens Funeral Home in Scottville, with Rev. Bruce Whitney of Baldwin Congregational Church officiating. Graveside services will be held for Elinor at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29 at the Rose Cemetery in Bath, MI. Friends may meet with Elinor’s family for a time of visitation on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
