Do you have an idea of how to make Mason County a better place? The Community Foundation of Mason County is holding its second round of Love Ludington mini grants. A minimum of two $500 mini grants will be awarded for projects, events, programs or activities that will make the community a livelier, more lovable place to be. If you’ve ever thought “I wish our area had … ,” now is the time to put your community spirit to work and turn that thought into reality.
•The contest is open to anyone — individuals, groups, nonprofits or businesses. Teamwork and collaboration is strongly encouraged.
•Ideas must benefit Mason County, its residents and visitors and be inclusive in nature, bringing people together.
•Total project cost cannot exceed $500 unless applicant has additional funds in hand since no fundraisers are allowed for this year’s contest. Search “lighter quicker cheaper placemaking” for low-cost, high-impact success stories that have been implemented in other communities.
•The idea needs to be implemented by the applicant and collaborators, with assistance offered from the Love Ludington committee.
• Entries will be posted on facebook.com/loveludington, and a minimum of two ideas with the most likes by June 30 will be awarded $500.
•All projects are subject to approval by the Love Ludington committee, the Community Foundation for Mason County and applicable government entities.
Submit your entry to LoveLudington@gmail.com by Friday, June 19, and include all of the following:
