Chamber accepting Macker concession and charity apps.

PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — The Ludington & Scottville Chamber of Commerce is now accepting concessionaire applications from non-profit organizations for the 2015 Gus Macker Charity Basketball Tournament. The deadline to submit an application is no later than Monday, April 27, 2015.

Concessionaire guidelines and applications can either be downloaded via the Chamber of Commerce website, www.ludington.org, or picked up at the chamber office, 5300 W. US 10, Ludington, MI 49431.

The annual tournament is scheduled for June 20 and 21, 2015. The event will be held at Stearns Park with approximately 50 basketball courts set up to accommodate approximately 3,500 players, their families, and friends.

The chamber is also accepting applications from charities that want to receive funding from proceeds accrued during from the 2015 Gus Macker 3-On-3 Charity Basketball tournament.

Completed applications are due in the Chamber of Commerce office by the close of business on Monday, April 27, 2015. Applications can either be downloaded from the Chamber of Commerce website, www.ludington.org, or picked up at the Chamber office, 5300 W. US 10, Ludington, MI 49431.

Requests for funds will be reviewed and selected by the Gus Macker Charity Selection committee. Selections will be made taking into consideration the impact of the project on the local communities.

The amount of money awarded to the designated charities or non-profit organizations will be dependent on the profitability of the overall tournament and the amount of volunteer effort provided by the charity.
