77-year-old, 16-year-old arrested for OWI in separate incidents

MASON COUNTY — The following is recent activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office:

Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015:

– 10:42 a.m., gas drive-off, $15, 5600 block of W. US-10 — Wesco East Gate, Pere Marquette Twp.

– 4:30 p.m., traffic assist, US-10 and PM Hwy, PM Twp., traffic light malfunction.

– 4:37 p.m., slide-off, US-31 Freeway north of PM Hwy overpass, Amber Twp.

– 4:45 p.m., slide-off, US-31 Freeway south of Chauvez, PM Twp.

– 4:56 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injuries, Jebavy and US-10, PM Twp.

– 5 p.m., one-vehicle crash, minor injuries, Peterson and  Decker, Hamlin Twp., a 63-year-old Free Soil woman became lost on the road due to blizzard-like conditions; exited her vehicle thinking she placed it in “park” when she actually put it in “reverse” and ran herself over.  She was transported to Spectrum Health/Ludington Hospital by Life EMS for non-life-threatening injuries.

– 5:26 p.m., a 77-year-old Scottville man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a one-vehicle crash at Stiles and Amber, Amber Twp.

– 5:38 p.m., cas drive-off, $15.01, 5900 block of W. US-10 — Ludington EZ Mart, PM Twp.

– 9:41 p.m., a 35-year-old Manistee man was arrested for aggravated domestic assault after MCSO responded to an assault at a residence in the 11000 block of N. Charloon, Meade Twp.

Friday, Jan. 9, 2015:

– 12:48 p.m., K-9 assist, 5700 block of Limouze, PM Twp.

– 1:24 p.m., retail fraud, 4800 block of W. US-10 — Walmart, PM Twp., case open.

– 1:43 p.m., gas drive-off, $13.42, 5900 block of W. US-10 — Ludington EZ Mart, PM Twp.

– 7:40 p.m., two-vehicle rear-end crash, no injuries, US-10 west of Meyers, PM Twp.

Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015:

– 8:47 a.m., slide-off, 3200 block of E. Fountain, Sherman Twp., no damage or injuries.

– 9:06 a.m.,  a 57-year-old Scottville man was arrested for domestic assault after deputies were called to an assault complaint in the 500 block of E. Chauvez, Eden Twp.

– 12:56 p.m., attempted breaking and entering, 100 block of S. Main, City of Scottville.

– 3:38 p.m., larceny of medication, 3000 block of N. Sherman, Hamlin Twp.

– 5 p.m., car/deer crash, no injuries, Dewey and  Reek, Sherman Twp.

– 5:37 p.m., four-vehicle crash, no injuries, US-10 east of PM Hwy, PM Twp.

– 9:59 p.m., two-vehicle rear-end crash, no injuries, US-10 east of Brye, Amber Twp.

Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015:

– 1:49 a.m., a 16-year-old Ludington juvenile was arrested for OWI following a traffic stop, US-10 and  Dennis, Amber Twp.

– 12:22 p.m. phone scam, Wildwood Meadow Apartments, Amber Twp., caller reports subjects calling him claiming to be with the IRS and demanding payment for unpaid taxes the complainant does not owe

– 1:35 p.m., one-vehicle rollover crash, no injuries, Stiles and Hawley, Riverton Twp.
