PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — A 29 year-old Ludington woman was arrested by deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday evening at 143 N. Jebavy Dr. for probation violation after she was found hiding under a bed and intoxicated (a violation of her probation), and a 43 year-old Ludington man was arrested after he was found hiding in a closet.
The man had two outstanding civil contempt warrants out of Kent County for child support with arrears of $15,930 and $4,512.
A 24-year-old Ludington man was also arrested for assault. Deputies were called to the residence for a disturbance at 6:48 p.m. for a second time and found the man actively assaulting another person. The other two suspects were arrested during the investigation.

– 12 p.m, one-vehicle crash, no injuries, Fountain and Victory Corners roads, Victory Twp.
– 12:04 p.m., damaged property, Mason County Eastern Schools, North Main Street, Village of Custer, student punched out a bus window.
– 1:32 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injuries, 5600 block of W. US-10, P.M. Twp.
– 3:53 p.m., one-vehicle rollover crash with injuries, Sugar Grove east of Custer, Sherman Twp. A 27-year-old Fountain man lost control of his eastbound vehicle; left the road; and rolled over. He was treated at Spectrum Health/Ludington Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Life EMS, Fountain Area Fire Dept. responded to the scene. Related story here
