PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — Mason County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a retail fraud complaint at Walmart, at 4854 W. US-10, Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 5:13 p.m.
Warrants are being requested for three subjects in Tuesday’s incident who were identified during the investigation, police said.
It is the third time in a week that police have been called to Walmart. Deputies responded to a report of a “person huffing” in the building last Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 11:40 a.m. During a pat down of the 23-year-old subject, deputies found a can of “keyboard duster,” and he was arrested for probation violation.
Stolen property valued at $1,546.98 was recovered in the woods and along the roadside near Walmart shortly after 3 a.m. last Friday, Dec. 12, by deputies after responding to a retail fraud involving “multiple subjects,” a sheriff’s report states. “Subjects fled on foot, and one subject was captured,” according to Sheriff Kim Cole. A 20-year-old Ludington man was arrested, and warrants were requested for the others involved.

– 4:01 p.m., gas drive-off, $45.01 in fuel taken, 5600 block of W. US-10 — Wesco East Gate, PM Twp.
– 10:45 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injuries, Dewey west of Sherman, Hamlin Twp.
