RIVERTON TWP. — A 25-year-old Ludington woman in a single vehicle crash at the corner of Meisenheimer and Schwass roads Tuesday morning. The crash occurred just before noon. The woman was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo east on Meisenheimer Road when she hit a patch of slush, according to a Mason County sheriff’s deputy on scene. The vehicle then lost control and landed in a ditch. No one else was in the vehicle. While a ticket was not issued, the deputy stated speed was a factor in the crash.
The driver was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. Initial dispatch information stated she had leg pain.
Responding to the scene was Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Riverton Twp. Fire Dept. and Life EMS ambulance. Custer Fire Dept. rescue unit was initially called but disregarded en-route.
