Car/deer crash leads to felony arrest in Victory Twp.

springstead_carter_1VICTORY TWP. — A car/deer crash led to the arrest of a 46-year-old Ludington man Tuesday afternoon. Deputies initially responded to the crash at Angling and Meyers roads at 5:25 p.m. After checking the operator’s license of the driver, they discovered he was wanted on an outstanding drug warrant out of Manistee County.

Other activity of the sheriff’s office for Nov. 25, 2014 included:

  • 1:57 a.m.: Semi stuck in road, U.S. 31 and Meisenheimer Rd. overpass.
  • 4:18 a.m.: Alarm activation, 3000 block of West U.S. 10, Amber Twp.
  • 4:45 a.m.: Two vehicle crash, no injuries, Pere Marquette Hwy. and First St., Pere Marquette Twp.
  • 12:22 p.m.: Sex offender registration violation, 500 block of East Wilson Rd., Custer Twp.
