Driver injured after truck lands in ditch.

riverton_crash_110214RIVERTON TWP. — A Pentwater area woman spent several hours in a ditch at the corner of Marrison and Hoganson roads Sunday morning. Passersby discovered the Ford F-150 pickup truck in the ditch around 8:15 a.m. The female driver, who deputies say was in her 20s, said she had been trapped in the vehicle since around 4 a.m.

Her vehicle appeared to be heading north on Hoganson and possibly failed to stop for the stop sign at Marrison Rd. Her vehicle then continued to travel north into a ditch; Hoganson ends at Marrison.

The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was transported by ambulance to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital. Responding to the scene were Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Riverton Twp. Fire Dept., Custer Fire Dept. and Life EMS ambulance.
