LUDINGTON — Michigan Works West Central will hold its second annual Dress for Success workshop and fashion show tonight at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts, 107 S. Harrison St.
The fashion show will feature business/professional attire for men and women from local clothing stores as well as thrift stores and resale shops. Workshop attendees will learn how to dress professionally without spending a fortune, interview etiquette, and proper attire while on the job.
There will also be an informational/hiring job fair prior to the fashion show and workshop. A variety of area businesses will be present, and attendees can speak with potential employers as well as submit applications for employment. At the end of the event, attendees are welcome to network and browse the clothing closet for an outfit to take home at no charge.
Organizers of the event include the Ludington Area Center for the Arts, Ludington and Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Works West Central, State of Michigan Workforce Development Agency, Wal-Mart, and West Shore Community College.
