PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — No injuries were reported following a four-vehicle crash Tuesday at 6:16 p.m. on Jebavy Drive near Johnson Road. According to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole, the crash occurred when a vehicle driven by a 73-year-old Scottville man attempted to pass another vehicle while traveling northbound on Jebavy Drive. The 73-year-old man attempted to pass in a center turn lane and struck the vehicle he was overtaking. He then lost control, went off the west side of the road and into a parking lot where he struck two additional parked vehicles before hitting a tree.

Other activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office for October 14, 2014 included:

  • 12:27 p.m.: One vehicle crash, no injuries, Stiles Rd. near Hansen Rd., Victory Twp.
  • 3:48 p.m.: Damaged property, El Rancho Restaurant, 4700 block of West U.S. 10, Amber Twp. A “loud” patron reportedly threw a fork, striking a rack of glasses, breaking four of them.
