SHERIDAN TWP. — Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of Taylor and Dewey roads Sunday at 5:58 p.m. where they arrested a 21-year-old Ludington man and charged him with domestic violence/strangulation after allegedly choking his girlfriend.

The following was the activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office for the weekend of Oct. 10-12.

Oct. 10, 2014:

7:29 a.m.: Two vehicle rear-end crash, no injuries, Main and Broadway streets, City of Scottville.

8:20 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Gordon Rd., Amber Twp.

8:34 a.m.: Fraud, 1700 block of Goff Rd., Branch Twp. Complainant discovered someone had taken a Sprint phone out in their name and accumulated $697.32 in unpaid charges.

9:52 a.m.: Assist DTE, 600 block of South Lakeshore Dr., Pere Marquette Twp. Gas leak in a residence.

10:25 a.m.: Gas drive off of $40.01, Airport EZ Mart, 5400 block of U.S. 10, P.M. Twp.

1:03 p.m.: Alarm activation, 8900 block of Young Rd., Branch Twp.

1:15 p.m.: Larceny from a building, 4400 block of Larson Rd., Sheridan Twp. Numerous household goods taken from barn.

2:45 p.m: Domestic assault warrant requested, Wildwood Apartments, Amber Twp. Sheriff’s office will be sending a report to Mason County Prosecutor’s Office after victim came into sheriff’s office seeking assistance.

5:09 p.m.: Alarm activation, 2200 block of U.S. 10, Amber Twp.

6:16 p.m.: Assist to DNR, 400 block of East Hansen Rd., Custer Twp.

8:09 p.m.: Suspicious vehicle, 8300 block of Custer Rd., Custer Twp.

10:04 p.m.: A 37-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while license suspended first offense, high blood alcohol level following a traffic stop at Stearns Otter Drive, City of Ludington.

Oct. 11, 2014:

1:44 a.m.: Disturbance, intoxicated person, Baymont Inn, 4400 block of U.S. 10, Amber Twp. Case closed.

5 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles Rd. and Victory Dr., Victory Twp.

12:24 p.m.: Breaking and entering to a shed, Canal St., Hamlin Twp. Lawn furniture taken.

1:01 p.m.: A 26-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault in the 5000 block of West Hawley Rd., Summit Twp.

3:09 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 31 off ramp and U.S. 10, Amber Twp.

6:08 p.m.: A 17-year-old Warren man and a 19-year-old Roseville woman were arrested and charged with minor in possession following a traffic stop at Walhalla and Kinney roads, Logan Twp. The 19-year-old woman was also charged with MIP third offense.

Oct. 12, 2014:

11:05 a.m.: Gas drive off of $106.60, Wesco, 5600 block of U.S. 10, P.M. Twp.

4:40 p.m.: One vehicle crash, minor injuries, Scottville and Marrison roads, Riverton Twp. Vehicle attempted to pass a slow moving semi, which was attempting a left turn onto Marrison Rd. Vehicle left roadway to avoid collission.

5:41 p.m.: A 33-year-old Free Soil man was arrested and charged with fighting and parole violation following a fight in front of the Fountain Market, Village of Fountain.
