LUDINGTON — The Ludington Writers of The Ludington Area Center for the Arts will present two free readings as part of the group’s Writer-in-Residence program. Anne-Marie Oomen, Michigan author and teacher, will speak at two readings, the first on poetry  Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and the second on non-fiction the following Saturday, September 27, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Both events will be held at The Book Mark, 201 South Rath Ave. Also included will be works from participants in Ludington Writers workshops taught by Oomen.

Anne-Marie Oomen is originally from Oceana County and now lives in Leelanau County’s Empire. She teaches at Interlochen Fine Arts Academy. She has written award-winning memoirs, essays, poetry, and plays. Her works reflect her rural Oceana County heritage as well as recent travels across America.
