Scottville Harvest Festival will feature Running of the Clowns

SCOTTVILLE — Scottville Main Street and the Ludington Area Jaycees will hold the Running of the Clowns 5K Fun Run. The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 20 during the Scottville Harvest Festival. Runners are encouraged to dress as clowns. All ages and pets welcome.

Prizes will be given for the best clown costume, with clown makeup available on site. Registration includes a do-it yourself clown t-shirt to design/color and a red clown nose. All participants will receive a medal for finishing.

“We are very excited to partner with the Ludington Area Jaycees.” said Main Street manager Heather DeVries.  “ They were a tremendous help last year with the Harvest Festival Parade – a task they are taking on again this year – and in partnering with them this year on the 5K Scottville Main Street hopes to reach a younger demographic in our community as well as honor our heritage of the Scottville Clown Band.”
