Blessing of the backpacks

RIVERTON TWP. — St. Paul United Methodist Church will host a Blessing of the Backpacks on Saturday, Aug. 16 at the church on South Morton Rd. The event will begin at 4 p.m. with bounce houses. At 5:30 p.m., kids of all ages (including college-aged students) are invited to join in the blessing. After the blessing, an outdoor picnic dinner is planned. The public is welcome to attend.
