The Scottville Area Senior Center is offering a day of art, nature and history on Tuesday, Aug. 19. The day will include a visit to Shagway Arts Barn and Nature Trails near Hamlin Lake and also a trip to the Ludington State Park for a walk and history lesson around the Sauble River.
The Ludington State Park was once a thriving lumbering village, known as Hamlin. The day will be finished with ice cream at House of Flavors in Ludington.
Cost is $10, which includes bus transportation and state park entry fee. Ice cream is not included.
The bus leaves the senior center at 12:30 p.m. with space limited to 13. Reservation and payment must be made by Thursday, Aug. 14. Call the center at 231-757-4705.
