Scottville man arrested for felony assault

BRANCH TWP. — Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 53-year-old Scottville man Monday on the charge of felony assault/damaged property. The arrest took place at Bockstanz and Campbell roads after deputies and Michigan State Police troopers responded to a citizen’s call regarding an alleged vehicle being intentionally rammed in the area. Deputies and troopers located the vehicle and suspect. The suspect was arrested following an investigation.

– 6:30 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Sugar Grove and Custer roads, Custer Twp.

– 9:07 a.m.: Hit and run crash, no injuries, Home Depot parking lot, 3865 W. U.S. 10-31, Amber Twp.

– 2:06 p.m.: Credit card fraud, 2300 block of West Johnson Rd., Amber Twp. Case still open.

– 3:09 p.m.: Larceny of a boat cover, 6500 block of South Willow Rd., Summit Twp.
