GR man arrested for multiple warrants

VICTORY TWP. — Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 28-year-old Grand Rapids man Thursday night at 10:28 p.m. on the charge of disturbance along with multiple other outstanding warrants. Deputies were initially called to a residence in the 6500 block of North Stiles Road on a disturbance call. Upon running a background check on one of the subjects, deputies learned he had two parole violation warrants, one contempt of court and one child support warrant, all out of Kent County.

Other activity of Mason County Sheriff’s Office for Thursday, July 31, included:

– 12:33 a.m.: Alarm activation, 1600 block of South Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Twp.

– Noon: Two vehicle fatal crash, P.M. Hwy. and U.S. 31 expressway, P.M. Twp. More details here.

– 9:08 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles and Sugar Grove roads, Victory Twp.

– 9:09 p.m.: A 31-year-old Scottville man was arrested in the 1700 block of West First St., Amber Township, on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Mason County and for possession of marijuana.
