HAMLIN TWP. — A 37-year-old Clawson, Mich. man was arrested for drunk driving Saturday night after he crashed his vehicle at the intersection of Angling Rd. and Jebavy Dr. Deputies were called to the scene at 11:26 p.m. The man apparently drove his vehicle off the roadway and then struck a fence and a tree. He was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a high blood alcohol level.

July 25:
– 5:40 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles and Sugar Grove roads, Victory Twp.
– 10:04 a.m.: Two vehicle rear-end crash, minor injuries, U.S. 31 bypass and U.S. 10, Amber Twp.
– 10:19 a.m.: Breaking and entering into a storage unit, Wildwood Meadows Apartments, Amber Twp. Fishing and hunting equipment missing.
– 12:32 p.m.: Two vehicle crash, no injuries, Hansen Rd. near Dennis Rd., Amber Twp.
– 12:55 p.m.: An 18-year-old Ludington man was arrested for possession of marijuana. The arrest occurred in the 5100 block of S. Pere Marquette Hwy., Summit Twp. following an investigation at a business at that location.
– 5:15 p.m.: Phone scam, 3200 block of East Free Soil Rd., Free Soil Twp. Subject attempted to gain complainants banking/routing number claiming to be the federal government.
– 11:12 p.m.: Alarm activation, 1600 block of South Lakeshore Dr., Pere Marquette Twp.
