LUDINGTON — The Cedar Chest, Ludington’s upscale consignment clothing store, is moving to a new location, a few doors down from its current location. As of Monday, the store will be located at 110 W. Ludington Ave.

Owner Natalie Wroble says the new location increases the size of the store by 1,400 square feet. The new store will also feature a rear entrance and also a full basement.

“I would describe us as a higher end, boutique consignment store,” she says. “When people come here they tell us that this doesn’t feel like a consignment store. The new location will bring an even higher quality to our customers.”

Though the higher percentage of the items sold is women’s clothes, Wroble says she also sells men’s clothes as well. She says she would like to increase the selection of fashionable men’s clothing.”

She says the new location’s lower level will feature a dedicated space for bridal and formal wear.

Cedar Chest has been in business for 17 years. It started on South James Street and moved five years ago to the northwest corner of Ludington Ave. and James St.
