LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced this week in the Mason County courts.
51st Circuit Court:
– Albert James Brooks, 40, of 5243 Village Dr., SW, Wyoming, Mich., was found guilty April 8 of controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, second or subsequent offense. He was sentenced to two to 20 years in a Michigan Department of Corrections prison with credit for 287 days served in jail; $198 in fines and costs; sentence to run concurrent with any sentence received in the 9th Circuit Court in Kalamazoo County and the 28th Circuit Court in Wexford County.
– Reynaldo Guerre Hernandez, III, 31, of 3919 N. Jebavy Dr., Ludington, was found guilty June 17 of sex offender – failure to comply with reporting duties. He was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for one day served; serve 30 days up front; balance to be served at the court’s discretion; work release must meet Mason County Sheriff’s Office requirements; two years probation; and $648 in fines and costs.
– Wilbur Matthew Weber, 48, of 109 E. Foster St., Apt. 12, Ludington, was found guilty May 27 of sex offender – failure to comply with reporting duties. He was sentenced to one year in jail with credit or two days served; balance to be served at the court’s discretion; two years probation; and $648 in fines and costs.
79th District Court:
– Maurice Xaver Dillard, 30, of 34151 Decatur Ct., Westland, Mich., was found guilty July 8 of driving while license suspended (DWLS). He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $285 in fines and costs; and one year discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
– Mark Stewart Tester, 51, of PO Box 397, Ludington, was found guilty June 20 of operating while impaired by liquor and operating while intoxicated or under a controlled substance. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $1,345 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend AA twice a week; no alcohol/drugs; and must attend an Impact Weekend or complete outpatient counseling program. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Rebecca June Shadwick, 35, of 1226 Comer Ave., Indianapolis, was found guilty July 10 of allowing a person to drive in violation and sentenced to $335 in fines and costs.
– Jennifer Leigh Tenhove, 40, of 1555 Cornell Rd., Muskegon, was found guilty July 10 of driver transporting open intoxicants. She was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs and 30 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Jade Lucile Oquist, 17, of 915 Mitchell St., Ludington, was found guilty July 10 of driving while unlicensed/never applied. She was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $275 in fines and costs; and 30 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Marcos Antonio Segura, 17, of 309 N. Robert St., Ludington, was found guilty July 10 of of driving while unlicensed/never applied. He was sentenced to $275 in fines and costs and 30 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– David James Gwiazdowski, 44, of 802 N. Staffon St., Ludington, was found guilty May 20 of aggravated assault. He was sentenced to 15 days in jail; one year discretionary jail for two years; $1,385 in fines and costs; must register on Tier 1 Sex Offender Registration Act (SORA) and maintain registry; upon completion of jail, he must have a GPS monitor installed and be under house arrest for 75 days; must pay for GPS unit; must not associate with females unsupervised under 21 years of age; must not have any females under age 21 other than his own children at his residence unless otherwise supervised; must reside in his new residence within 90 days; must continue counseling efforts and Work It Out; must begin jail sentence on Aug. 1; and work release allowed.
– Shannon Nicole Husen, 25, of 4224 Pineport Rd., Bridgeport, Mich., was found guilty July 8 of attempted assaulting/resisting/
– Mara Lynn Wittlieff, 19, of 784 N. Stiles Rd., Ludington, was found guilty July 8 of minor in possession of alcohol (MIP), third offense. She was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; 60 days discretionary jail for one year; must remain on Soberlink for one year; must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random drug tests. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– John Ruiz, 50, of 210 Thornwild Dr., Apt. B3, Scottville, was found guilty July 9 of attempted – sex offender – failure to register. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for 21 days served and $295 in fines and costs. One count of habitual offender, fourth conviction, was dismissed.
– Justin William Moore, 29, of 697 Mayflower Dr., Saginaw, was found guilty July 8 of disorderly person – public intoxication and sentenced to $200 in fines and costs.
– Christopher Gary Johnson, 27, of 4791 Lampton Rd., Cass City, was found guilty July 7 of disorderly person – public intoxication. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines and costs.
– Herbert Jason Golnick, Jr., 51, of 103 N. Delia St., Apt. A1, Ludington, was found guilty July 8 of disorderly person – public intoxication. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; $285 in fines and costs; and no alcohol.
– David Darrell Duquette, 58, of 505 N. Washington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty July 11 of disorderly person – public intoxication. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines and costs.
– Todd Alan Bogus, 50, of 402 E. Dowland St., Ludington, was found guilty of disorderly person – public intoxication. He was sentenced to 11 days in jail with credit for 11 days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $285 in fines and costs.
Dismissal
– Alejandro Otero, 45, of 52 W. 17th St., Holland, one count of absconding or forfeiting bond dismissed July 14. “Per plea agreement, defendant pled and sentenced on another felony,” court records state.
