Photographer will present at arts center

LUDINGTON – Al Geist of Geist Arts will give a one-hour presentation on photography on Friday, August 1 beginning at 5 p.m. in the Main Gallery of Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA).  This presentation is offered in conjunction with the current “Botanicals” exhibit at LACA, in which Geist has three pieces displayed.

Geist began his photography journey while stationed in Iceland over 40 years ago and he has had a camera at his side ever since. During those years, his images have supported newspaper and magazine articles, populated technical documents, filled product catalogs, and marketing brochures, in addition to gracing the walls of numerous homes and businesses. His background also includes video productions of Alaskan extreme sports and cultural events.

During his talk, Al will discuss how his technical and publishing background and life experiences have influenced his style and approach to photography. He will also answer questions from those attending the talk.
