LUDINGTON — The Holland Area Arts Council will hold a a mini grant workshop on July 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts at the corner of Harrison and Loomis streets. Reservations can be made by calling 231-845-2787.
The Minigrant program is a grants-giving partnership funded by the State of Michigan through the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) and administered by agencies in each region of the state.
Minigrants provide up to $4,000 for locally developed, high quality arts and cultural projects, which are special opportunities to address local arts and cultural needs and increase public access to arts and culture.
Minigrants support a broad range of artistic expression from all cultures through projects which preserve, produce, or present traditional or contemporary arts and culture. Professional Development Minigrants provide up to $1,500 to assist nonprofit organizations and arts professional acquire services or skills to
strengthen the administrative infrastructure of the organization.

The E-Grant system is now open. The deadline to apply is October 15, 2014. The projects must be scheduled between January 1, 2015 and September 29, 2015
WHO CAN APPLY?
Non-profit organizations, located in the state of Michigan, including (but not limited to) service organizations, arts organizations, parks and recreational organizations, churches, professional associations, public and non-public schools, cities, townships and villages may apply.
