LUDINGTON — Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office responded to several crashes Monday. Below is the activity of the MCSO for Monday, June 30, 2014:
– 2:53 a.m.: Alarm activation, 4700 block of West U.S. 10, Amber Twp.
– 10:40 a.m.: Vehicle vs. pedestrian crash, U.S. 10 and Jebavy Dr., Pere Marquette Twp. See related story. A 57-year-old Ludington man was struck while crossing U.S. 10 at the crosswalk, with the green light, by an 80-year-old Ludington woman who was attempting a left turn. The driver was cited for failure to yield and will have her driving abilities reviewed by the Secretary of State. The pedestrian was treated and released at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.
– 11:20 a.m.: Two vehicle broadside crash, minor injuries, U.S. 10 and U.S. 31 bypass, Amber Twp.
– 12:50 p.m.: Three vehicle rear-end crash, no injuries, Pere Marquette Hwy. and Conrad Rd., P.M. Twp. A 49-year-old Fountain man was cited for careless driving.
– 5:42 p.m.: Larceny of medication, 6700 block of West Sassafras St., Hamlin Twp.
– 5:42 p.m.: Suspicious situation, U.S. 10 and U.S. 31 expressway, Amber Twp. Report of campers in the woods.
– 9:05 p.m.: One vehicle crash, no injuries, Wilson and Tuttle roads, Custer Twp.
– 11:44 p.m.: Alarm activation, 5000 block of East Borothy Rd., Branch Twp.
