Minor injuries following Ludington crash

LUDINGTON — A 78-year-old Ludington woman received a ticket after a crash at the intersection of Tinkham and Rath avenues Thursday afternoon. The crash occurred about 3:15 p.m. when the driver was traveling south on Rath Avenue in a Buick and failed to yield at the Tinkham intersection. Her vehicle collided with a west bound Ford Escape SUV driven by a 53-year-old Ludington woman.

The driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries and was checked out by paramedics from Life EMS ambulance. She did not seek transport to the hospital, however.

The driver of the Buick was issued a citation by Ludington Police Department for failure to yield.
