Arraignments include assault of police officer

LUDINGTON — The following were arraigned recently in front of the 79th District Court Magistrate:

Felony

– Patrick Allen Shira, 21, of 504 E. Danaher St., Ludington, was arrested June 16 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) for a felony of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and two counts of domestic violence. A preliminary exam is set for June 25 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $3,500/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

– Shanin Nicholas Waite, 21, of 1609 Walhalla Rd., Walhalla, was arrested June 12 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) for a misdemeanor of driving while license suspended (DWLS). A pretrial is set for July 7 at 11 a.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.

– Corey Evan Carsten, 28, homeless, was arrested June 12 by LPD for a misdemeanor of disorderly person – public intoxication. A pretrial is set for June 30 at 9:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Jorge Luis Garcia-Hernandez, 19, of 2272 E. Sugar Grove Rd., Scottville, was arrested June 11 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. A pretrial is set for June 30 at 2 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Joshua John Verhoeven, 18, of 8955 E. Ehler Rd., Branch, was arrested June 11 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. A pretrial is set for June 30 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Jerome Lamer Latimer, 27, of 915 E. Maple St., Apt. 1, Ludington, was arrested June 10 by LPD for a misdemeanor of DWLS. A pretrial is set for July 7 at 10:30 a.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.

– Jonathon Edward Shafer, 17, of 210 N. Main St., Apt. B, Scottville, was arrested June 12 by the Michigan State Police, Hart post (MSP-H) for a misdemeanor of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. A pretrial is set for June 30 at 11:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

– Christopher Duane Martin, 27, of 208 E. State St., Scottville, was arrested June 11 by the Scottville Police Department on two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence. A pretrial is set for June 30 at 2:15 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Lorie Lynn Klinger, 43, of 6586 E. Stolberg Rd., Fountain, was arrested June 12 by MSP-H for a misdemeanor of failure to maintain security. A pretrial is set for July 7 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $1,500/personal.

–  Charles Robert Scribner, 62, of 306 S. Main St., Scottville, was arrested June 12 by LPD for a misdemeanor of assault and battery. A pretrial is set for July 7 at 2:30 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Richard Zigmund Stepka, 25, of 2092 E. US-10, Custer, was arrested June 14 by MSP-H for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. A pretrial is set for July 14 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Kenneth James Bulley, Jr., 17, of 3616 W. Forest Hill Circle, Ludington, was arrested June 14 for a misdemeanor of domestic violence. A pretrial is set for July 7 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Michael James Shields, 22, of 410 Eimer St., Muskegon, was arrested June 14 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. Bail: $2,500/personal. He was also arrested for a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated. Bail: $2,500/10 percent. A pretrial is set for July 7  at 11:15 a.m.
