Patriotic choral concert will be June 29

PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — The United Methodist Church of Ludington Choir with the West Shore Community College Choir in collaboration with area vocalists and musicians will be presenting the fifth annual “Let Freedom Ring!” patriotic concert . As in years past, the event provides an array of inspirational music ;  from traditional to contemporary  that reflects  the unique American spirit of freedom  while paying tribute to the men and women in uniform who have defended  and continue to defend these freedoms to this very day.

The concert will feature an 80-member vocal ensemble , backed by a 15-piece band and will feature a host of gifted vocal soloists.

Under the leadership of musical  directors  Rebecca Sopha,  Lew Wilson and Franklin Fahrer , the assembly has been rehearsing for over six weeks.

Featured soloists include Tom and Autumn Noteware, Marc Soles, Rich Chasse,  and Colleen Unsal.

Two shows are scheduled for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. , Sunday , June 29 at the Ludington United Methodist Church on Bryant Road.

A free-will offering will be dedicated to benefit the Mason County Veterans Endowment Fund.

All are encouraged to come out and experience  the true spirit of freedom  as told through some of this country’s greatest  music.
