Felony arraignments this week include strangulation, resisting arrest, drunk driving

LUDINGTON — The following were arraigned this past week in front of the 79th District Court Magistrate:

Felonies

Stacey

– Raymond Paul Stacey, 32, of 311 E. Melendy St., Ludington, was arrested May 22 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) for a felonies of assault by strangulation and two counts of third-degree child abuse. A preliminary exam is set for June 4 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $10,000/10 percent.

Vela

– Stephen Jay Vela, 36, of 413 ½ N. Robert St., Ludington was arrested May 24 by LPD for a felony of interfering with an electronic communication device and domestic violence. A preliminary exam is set for June 4 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

Lara

– Jesus Lara, 38, of 4857 N. Cleveland St., Fountain, was arrested May 25 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) for a felony of resisting/opposing/obstructing a police officer and assault and battery. A preliminary exam is set for June 4 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $3,500/cash/surety/10 percent cash.

Cole

– Daniel Neal Cole, 53, of 1728 Marquette Ave., Muskegon, was arrested May 23 by MCSO for a felony of third-offense operating while intoxicated (OWI) and second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS)i. A preliminary exam is set for June 4 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $25,000/cash/surety.

Misdemeanors

– Raquel Angela Lopez, 22, of 143 N. Jebavy Dr., Apt. 7, Ludington, was arrested May 21 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of third-degree retail fraud. A pretrial is set for June 9 at 11 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Kyle James Bellgowan, 24, of 509 St. Morton St., St. John’s, was arrested May 24 by MCSO for misdemeanors of drunk and disorderly and assault and battery. A pretrial is set for June 16 at 11:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Maurice Xaver Dillard, 30, of 34151 Decatur Crt., Westland, was arrested May 25 by MCSO  for a misdemeanor of DWLS. A pretrial is set for June 23 at 11:30 a.m. Bail: $1,500/10 percent.

– Mara Lynn Wittlieff, 19, of 6714 Lorne Dr., Pentwater, was arrested May 24 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of third-offense minor in possession of alcohol. A pretrial is set for June 23 at 9:30 a.m. Bail: $5,000/cash/surety.

– Cassandra Augusta Boyle, 26, of 3203 Kentwood Dr., Midland, was arrested May 26  by MCSO for a misdemeanor of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. A pretrial is set for June 23 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.
