4 sentenced in 79th District Court

LUDINGTON  — The following were sentenced this past week in 79th District Court:

– Koddy Christian Gaut, 25, of 1218 S. Madison, Apt. 5, Ludington, was found guilty May 27 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $580 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for one year; no alcohol/drugs; and driver’s license suspended one year/restricted 305 days.  Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Eleasar Esparza, Jr., 22, of 5634 W. Johnson Rd., Ludington, was found guilty May 27 of operating while intoxicated, second offense. He was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; must report to jail Sept. 24 unless he completes and follows recommendations of Impact Weekend before that time; must remain on Soberlink; outpatient treatment; $1,245 in fines and costs; must provide proof of sale of vehicle; must attend AA twice a week; and no alcohol/bars/drugs. Restitution is reserved. Conviction reportable to the SOS.

– Maura Sue Gilbert, 25, of 2435 18th St., Fountain, was found guilty May 20 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $335 in fines and costs.

– Donald Wayne  Lorenz, 58, of 301 W. 4th St., Scottville, was found guilty May 27 of unlicensed dog and sentenced to 24 hours of community service with Animal Control in lieu of fines and costs; has three weeks to license his dogs; and may be released from jail.
