PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 31-year-old Scottville man Wednesday in the McDonald’s restaurant parking lot. The man was wanted on two outstanding warrants from Kent County friend of the court, arrears of $26,293 and $2,156. Friend of the court warrants are typically for past due child support payments.
Deputies also arrested a 37-year-old Scottville woman for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, first offense, following a traffic stop at U.S. 31 and Beyer Rd., Sherman Twp.
In a separate incident, a 50-year-old Grand Rapids man was arrested for OWI second offense, possession of open intoxicants, Lakeshore Dr. and Decker Rd., Hamlin Twp.
Other activity of the sheriff’s office for Wednesday, May 28, 2014 included:
– 10:05 a.m.: Larceny of a boat, 7000 block of East Oak Ridge, Sherman Twp.; 12-foot aluminum boat was taken.
– 12:45 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 31 and Decker Rd., Victory Twp.
– 1:30 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles and Johnson roads, Amber Twp.
– 9:07 p.m.: Assist to Hamlin Twp. Fire Dept., Victory Dr. and Anderson Rd., Victory Twp.
