LUDINGTON — The Mason County Allied Veterans Council has announced the program for Memorial Day services to be held on Monday, May 26.
The parade will start at 10:15 a.m. and will travel from the Mason County Courthouse to the War Memorial at Stearn’s Park. The parade will feature veterans representing the United States’ wars/conflicts and the various veteran organizations of Mason County. The parade will also feature the Ludington High School marching band, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Ludington City Police Dept. and the Mason County Sheriff Reserve Mounted Unit.
The memorial service will start at 11 a.m. Featured speaker is Lupe Rangel of Ludington, an Army Special Forces veteran. Also present will be LHS Marching Band, Civil War reenactment group Battery D with a cannon salute, and singer Carrie Kosla.
