Tractor ride

EDEN TWP. — Forty tractors and their drivers participated in the 7th annual Western Michigan Memorial Tractor Ride Sunday, shown here on South Custer Road. The ride began at 9:30 a.m. at the Western Michigan Old Engine Club grounds at Scottville Riverside Park.

The route took the tractor drivers down South Scottville Road east onto Conrad Road, south on Tuttle Road, east on Kenney Road, south on Custer Road and then east on Sippy Road where they stopped for lunch at Stickney’s Back 40 park.

The return trip would return them on Sippy Road west then north on Eden Lake Road, west on Hawley Road, north on Darr Road, west on Conrad Road and then north on Scottville Road, back to Riverside Park.

west_michigan_old_engine_club_tractor_ride_051814_2The trip was a total of 25 miles. The $20 registration fee helped raise money for local cancer support charities. Over the previous six years, the group raised over $30,000.
