Pentwater women’s club to hold Wine and Art by the Water

PENTWATER — The Pentwater Women’s Club is hosting its eighth annual “Wine and Art by the Water” scholarship benefit on Sunday, May 18 from 2-5 p.m. at the Pentwater Yacht Club on Dover Street.  The event will include a silent auction of over 100 items (art, jewelry, gift certificates, etc.), wine tasting of over 55 different wines coordinated by Hansen’s Foods, and delectable gourmet appetizers.  Sponsors this year are Shelby State Bank of Pentwater and Fifth Third Bank of Hart.  Last year, the women donated $10,000 in scholarships for area youths going on to school and college after graduation.  Tickets are $20 and are available from Michigan West Shore Realty and Marilyn’s Style on Hancock Street in Pentwater, and from Hansen’s Foods on Polk Road in Hart.  Tickets are $25 at the door.
