Bottles & Brushes event to benefit arts center

LUDINGTON – Sportsman’s Irish Pub is hosting Bottles & Brushes: Acrylic Painting Workshop with Cheri Petri on Wednesday, May 21 from 6 to 8 p.m.  This event is sponsored by Ludington Area Center for the Arts and the proceeds earned will benefit LACA and their arts education programming.

Cheri Petri, a Pentwater artist, graduated with honors from Michigan State University with a degree in painting.  Her work can be seen in many galleries throughout Michigan and the United States. She has spent many years as an adjunct professor at West Shore Community College sharing her love of painting. Her work has evolved through the years and has experimented with new mediums including painting on plexiglass and using encaustics.

This workshop is an opportunity to have some fun creating art in a relaxed, cocktail party atmosphere.  Attendees will create an original acrylic painting in a floral design.  All materials are provided.

Tickets for Bottles & Brushes are $40 for LACA members and $45 for non-members and can be purchased at the LACA office, Tuesday-Saturday, noon to 5 p.m. or by calling 231-845-2787. They are also available online at www.laca-bottles.evenbrite.com.  The ticket price includes one drink voucher.
