Dumas family appreciative of calls for help, but have enough for hop planting

SCOTTVILLE — The Dumas farm will be hopping with hop planters on Saturday. After a call for help posted on MCP Tuesday, the family received a tremendous amount of responses. The request was made because Scott was the victim of a hit and run crash in April which caused him severe injuries. After almost a month in a Grand Rapids hospital, he just recently returned home (see related story).

However, his wife, Kathy, reports that they now have enough help.

“We are so grateful for all the calls for help,” Kathy said. “It has been a blessing to know that we have this many friends. Thank you all for being there for us.”
