Vehicle rolls over after attempting to pass tractor

SHERMAN TWP. — A 49-year-old Alto man was uninjured after his pickup truck rolled over on U.S. 31 between Sugar Grove and Decker roads Tuesday afternoon around 2:15 p.m. Law enforcement on the scene said the man was following a southbound tractor, owned by Larsen’s Farms and attempted to pass the tractor on the right as the tractor made a left-hand turn into a field. The man’s vehicle apparently clipped the wheel of the tractor and then rolled over.

Extrication tools were used to free the man from the vehicle. The driver of the tractor was uninjured. Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Scottville Fire Dept. and Custer Fire Dept. were on the scene.
