7th annual tractor ride will travel through southeastern Mason County

SCOTTVILLE — The 7th Annual Western Michigan Memorial Tractor Ride will be held Sunday, May 18. The previous rides have raised over $30,000 for local cancer charities.

The Event will start at the Western Michigan Old Engine Club showgrounds at Riverside Park at 9 a.m. with the tractors leaving at 9:30 a.m. The tractors will head south on Scottville Road, turn east on Conrad Road, turn south on Tuttle Road and east on Kinney Road.  There will be a short break at Lowell and Bonnie Bakers home for coffee and donuts. They will then continue on South Custer Road and turn east on Sippy Road for a potluck lunch, with a meat dish provided, at Stickney’s Back Forty. There will be other activities at the park as well.

The return trip to Scottville will take them west on Sippy Road, north on Eden Lake Road, west on Hawley Road, north on Darr Road, west on Conrad Road, north on Scottville Road to the Riverside Park. The return trip will stop at the Amish school where for strawberries and ice cream.  The trip will be a total of 25 miles, that should end about 4:30 pm
Registration in $20, which includes a printed T-shirt or hat and meal.   There will be a drawing for many donated prizes. This event is open to the public.
