Obit: Ardith Brown, 89, Irons

Ardith M. Brown aged 89 of Irons, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital. Ardith was born on January 23, 1925 to Fred G. and Maude (Lemon) Anthony, graduated from Bryan, Ohio High School and married Richard Brown on September 19, 1942 in Montpelier, Ohio.  They celebrated 55 years together before Richard preceded her in death on January 14, 1998.  She was a member of Faith Fellowship Church in Irons, enjoyed bowling, working in her garden, and spent many hours on the lakes fishing with Richard.  Following Richard’s death, she looked forward to her lunch dates with her friends.  Along with her husband, Ardith was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Charles, Orville, and Chester Anthony, and her sister Marjorie Schad.

She will be greatly missed by her sons Ron and Pam Brown of Irons, Don and Julie Brown of Albrightsville, PA, her grandchildren Wendy Morrow of Bradenton, FL, Amanda (Scott) Mast of Custer, Kristin (Jon) Tanner of Hesperia, Katie Brown of Hulett, Wyoming, and Leslie Brown of Albrightsville, her great-grandchildren Anthony Morrow, Alex Morrow, Alli Mast, Riley Mast, Marcy Tanner, and Jared Tanner, her sisters-in-law Barb and Lee Allman of Springfield, TN, and Jeanine and Roger Houk of Coldwater, MI, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held for Ardith at 11:00 am on Friday, April 25 at Faith Fellowship Church in Irons, with Dr. Duane Costello officiating.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.  Friends may meet with her family for a time of visitation on Friday from 10:00 am until time of services at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Fellowship Church.  Please visit Ardith’s personal memory page at www.stephensfuneralhome.net to sign her guestbook, or to leave a memory of Ardith for her family.
